I've ordered a new GTD as my existing one will be 2 years old in September 30,000 miles and I normally change cars every 2 years.

Saw a Silver GTD with the LED tail lights on the A1 yesterday evening, looked very smart, reminded me it's worth the wait.

Very jealous!

My Orders progressed to having a valid VW order Number now, no commission number or build week yet.

Why do VW wait weeks to decide if they want your (Aloe Blacc) "Dollar".

I'm actually not 100% sure it's mine cos I spotted it on my way to work and didn't get to speak to the salesman... but I'm fairly certain it is mine, it has the spec I ordered, etc! It seemed to be sitting very high, probably has those transport blocks in the suspension... i'd say it only came off the transporter this morning.

If this is your new GTD how come it has vancover wheels?  Is this still an option in Ireland as opposed to the Charleston 18"?

Yep, the vancouver wheels are the only 18" option here, or at least that was the case 12 weeks ago. I'm very happy with them, they look great in the metal.!

I agree, they look great.  I do prefer them to the Charlestons,  Are you aware of other differences to the UK Spec?

Yeah I'm not sure about the charlestons either... Although the darker inserts would look good with White I reckon!

There are a few other spec differences. We get cruise control, auto-folding mirrors and the tyre pressure monitor all as standard. But then we don't get climate control! Climatic is standard, climate control is about €800, which I didn't bother with this time. I did spec it 4 years ago in my GTI... hopefully I won't miss it too much!
