I bet thats £800 for a new flywheel as well. I got quoted £820 for a flywheel and clutch fitted on my tdi. Parts cam to £600 and labour was £220 (4 hours)

I bought a clutch, dual mas flywheel and release bearing for £360 and spent 6 hours in the garage fitting it.
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Before you start make sure you have a large set of 12 point spline in particular M10 I think, for the driveshaft bolts and the bolts that hold the flywheel in. The pressure plate is held in by M10 torx too so be sure you've got these tools before you start. As for the clutch alignment tool I just used the bar from the trolley jack handle and it fit tight and snug, in all other times when I've not got the correct clutch alignment tool a 1/2" extension can be made to fit by wrapping some electrical tape around it.

I got a ECS single mass fly wheel pack, which is a 14lb flywheel that I weighed to confirm it was true as stated. As I remember there was a huge thing on here about everyone saying the single mass is lighter, yada yada, turns out depending on which fly wheel is can be heavier than the dual mass.

With the pack you get all the bolts, sachs vr6 clutch, ecs lightened g60 flywheel at 14lb and alignment tool, only place I know that stocks it are ECS and Awesome.
