Thanks folks!

MAW73: no plans as such.  Just see how it goes in "plain vanilla" first.

AM1W: I know, I know, I know..17" but 18" just doesn't suit the potted/badly finished roads round here.  I had a thorough test drive first in a big wheeler to confirm, and coming from an agricultural background, fat, luxurious energy absorbing rubber on the road is where my heart is.  And anyway once the vehicle is moving who can tell?  But fully appreciate the view.

ajmoir36:  Well I just got in there in the nick of time, the dealer told me colour mfd no longer an option for the moment.

The journey begins

Nice car. Definately nicer than a bit of agricultural machinery, even if it has small wheels.
I'm sure you'll be very happy together.

That tool chest looks quite impressive too. It probably cost nearly as much as your GTI!

Yeah, it will be an early start for a Saturday.

Will be very interested to see how it compares to the mk 5 which has been faultless and best Golf I have ever owned.

Will be working on some photographs, and video of the more dynamic elements etc
