Good quality spring and shock kit is the best bet tbh.

Following this thread with interest cos my front shocks are in need of replacement and I'd rather not go to the expense of coil overs but would like a bit of drop 25-30mm ish while I'm doing it.

Please keep us posted :)

The highest they start is 35-40mm then d0wn t0 55-60mm......Still l00king f0r 25-30mm.  This is the best s0 far......

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PROSPORT-VW-GOLF-MK3-GTi-SUSPENSION-KIT-40mm-F-35mm-R-/380325060993?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item588d23e181#ht_2642wt_1139

I cant g0 t0 l0w as I my car has my teenage daughters in it, 10st Bullmastiff and I take my car up the w00ds when walking my d0g s0 anything like 40mm will be just t0 l0w

Yeh likewise, don't need anything like 40mm.  Is there really nothing around 20-30mm?

Problem with coilovers if you choose them is that you will keep wanting to go lower.

Issue with shocks and springs is you cant fiddle the height to get the best visually appealing "stance".

Depends if you are doing this for looks or drive i suppose.
