Thanks for all the comments :) i went and got the red pinstripe from halfrauds but it wouldnt stick to the rub strips so i gave up lol
just a few pics of how it stands at the moment

Ignore the missing tow cover lol

The paint looks faided but its not lol

Only things i have done scince sorting the mot are

-Flat blades
-Painted boot badge black
-Re-fitted all the interior and the standerd drivers seat
-Drilled the air box

now i just want to tidy up, repair the bumper scuff and just sort the rust spots etc

cheers

With the pin stripe mate you need to clean your bumpers just where your going to stick it I just used some white spirits then get yourself a hair dryer warm the surface up and apply the stripe with some heat not to much and it will stick fine.

Looks an ok job but i'd guess the rust will be back pretty quickly. I'm assuming you got the grinder out & took it back to bare metal before any filling? The only sure fire way to get rid of rust is to chop it out & weld in new metal in it's place, but as a temp fix yours looks fine

Also try using thinner coats of paint next time
