Wolfgang's rear has had too much attention in the past. The poor boy is still recovering. No LEDs for him to attract unsavory attention. Imagine what could happen ..........

I'll spend money on his insides so he can sing like a lark and bring me joy.

Has anyone got a price for the LED number plate lights yet?

This is what they look like on a MK5...

Cheers David, how do these connect on the mk6? The cable in the car has the bulb carrier on the end so do you have to cut that off?

Not sure what you meen :undecided:
Heres how mine are on the mk6

PIC1: Unclip from mounting.

PIC2: Un-Plug the light unit leaving the plug+harness on the car.

PIC3: Old bulb unit unplugged from the car.

Then just plug the new full LED unit into the plug on the car. shown in pic 2

Ah, nice one snoopy! I didn't realise the bulb carrier plugged on to the cable :embarassed: when i swapped the standard bulbs for blue vision bulbs (not worth it btw) i just took the carrier out of the housing. Might get these when i get the tail lights as they need coding too don't they?

It's simple plug and play as described on the post in the MK5 section, the new LED unit just plugs into the existing connector and is an exact fit for
the hole in the bumper.

Whilst it's plug and play does it have to be coded through VCDS?

Some say yes. Some say no.
So not sure.
If it does it will just ping up a bulb out warning on the dash.
If it does need coding then what was shown on the other page is probably what needs changing.
What i would like to see is someone go throught a new GTI with the LED number plate lights fitted using VCDS and show the screens to see what options come up and are ticked or unticked.

Mmm, sorry can't help regarding the MK6 (unless you want to swap cars) there are no visible bulb-out warnings on the MK5.
