Sealer and wax questions...
« on: 26 April 2011, 00:27 »
Hello clean freaks

Few questions that im not sure on.

When to use a sealer and what is it designed for exactly?

Are these the right steps: Polish, Glaze, seal then wax?

Does a sealer remove any wax layers?

Thanks

Seal then Wax yes... your order is correct aswell.. i use jetseal 109 great stuff.. it stops contaminents eating into your perfectly polished paintwork it actually bonds with the paintwork.. only needs doing every 6 months if you keep on top of waxing it..

Do you apply these by hand or can they be done by rotary?

I only use the da for scratches and swirls etc.

the rest by hand.

I was just looking into cleansers hence the question. So not really needed?

the meguiars paint cleaner will remove all grime you cant see with the natural eye, just because you cant see it, doesnt mean its not there

its best applied just after wash, however, if you use a wash & wax shampoo, it will strip the wax out, but considering youre reapplying wax anyway, it doesnt matter much

I'd use it after claying and before applying sealant/wax.

You also don't need to wax on top of sealant.
