They aren't cheap but look great on the MK3s. I had a dragon green MK3 a few years ago and the carbon versions of the hella twins really set the front end off.

yeah I'm coming round to them now. what dragon green did you have? I'm on my second now :p

i've just clicked through the entire thread.. i may be a little baked  looks awesome though! don't usually like red mk3s but it works, it's the hella twins that make it look real good. may have to get a set now..

Thank you bud. The car is eventually going to look how I want, and be how I want. It's just money which is slowing progress.

Looking good bud. The spacers probably went because of the depth of the hub center at the back. The spacers quite often aren't deep enough for it and as a result, when you do the wheel up it forces it off. Can be machined if there's enough material left.

I'm quite pissed off they broke too be honest. Just don't really understand how it could happen. I will be putting pics up later.

If you look at them, there is a recess for the hub center to go in to center the spacer on the hub. Quite often the recess isn't deep anough and therefore as you tighten the wheels, it forces the spacer flat onto the disc and therefore the hub presses the center of the spacer off.

What size were the spacers?

I had the same issue with my 15mm rear spacers although i didn't tighten them enough to shear them off.  Poxy aftermarket discs innit.

If the disc is definitely the issue, can it not be ground down neatly? Take it to stock disc size sorta thing.

Where all my moneys went.

Been busy with the car today, got quite a bit achieved whilst Chelsea has her friend (and her baby round).

Started by replacing the door handles for items from a MK3.5.

How they looked:

How they look:

Sourced a leak coming into the boot which has water coming through one of the rear light seals, so sorting that out tomorrow.

Got some new mats as the original Anni ones are f**ked, won't be to everyone's taste bit I like them:

And a pic of the Colour Concept seats I now have:

And then, I cleaned the f**k out of the car! Wash, polish, wash, trim gelled, wheels waxed and tires gelled. First time I've done it properly in a good while but she's looking ace again. I will get better pics when it's daylight. And note the aero wiper arm mod, looks great and acts even better!

Oh and refurbished wheels too:

Got some big plans coming up but hush hush for now. :lipsrsealed:

Vdub - shut up.

Thai, I agree, with any luck, I'll buy some Anni seats and get them merged with the current Recaros but that'll be at a later date.

Blu, totally agree mate, the Anni seats are okay but the Recaros are so much better.
