Interesting thread. I did a bit of digging around myself. I too have a daily driver that I wanted to lower a little (cheaply). I was going to go for the Bilstein Streetline kit from www.awesomegti.com, until I picked up some Eibach springs, brand new, in box, with paperwork for half price.(30-40mm drop)

I'm glad to hear the standard shock should work well with em, (fitting em soon) hope the ride isn't upset too much, and I dont bottom the shocks out too often!

I do have a question though, my car looks quite saggy as it is, especially at the back, is this likely to be worn bump stops, does everyone reckon I should replace these when swapping the springs, and how about swapping for new Boge shocks from GSF too?
Cheers.

^^^ replace a s much as you can afford to do to save you doing it at a later date. none of it is that expensive and it'll transform the ride of your car..............!!!!!!!

Well i got cheesed off missing group buys on different forums, and getting fobbed of by people selling brand new coilovers, that I decided to buy some Avo fully adjustables. They came delivered at £530, and I could only get the FK's for £600ish, and as Avo have a massive WRC background, I thought I'd give them a try - oh, and they're british, mind you so was Austin Rover - oh sh1t!!!!

I'll be fitting them this weekend along with the Powerflex bush kit, and hopefully I'll be sober enough by sunday to test it out on some good old country roads  !

Lewy picked up some G60 top mounts at the same time I believe.

Fitted my kit last weekend and I'm well chuffed. Car is much lower and the ride and handling much much improved. Would adding a strut brace under the bonnet be the next step?
