CCTV Time :)
« on: 20 April 2011, 23:42 »
As for my car, they can take it, up until next week, when I get my Leon Cupra, which to date, will be the highest insurance group car I've ever owned.

Recently me and mother have been finding cigarette butts in the back garden, at first thought it was the window cleaner but it got more frequent. My bedroom is at the back of the house, and I don't normally go to bed til say 1ish, so they must be coming after then. We have since, started closing the blinds and curtains in the kitchen as the 2 keys and my wallet are on the worktop.
The other day coming back from town, mother said she noticed a 'weird' looking car that followed her from town to our village, about 15 miles and then disappeared, could be coincidence? But IIRC, my mum's GTI is the only White 3 door in town, and our local VW dealer seems to recall only selling 2 new GTI's since launch, of which I've only ever seen one in town. So, none the less, she's pretty scared.
Thankfully we are moving house next month, and I'll be purchasing some CCTV gear from work for it, afterall, a GTI and a Cupra are easy targets to get some easy cash right?
I refuse to take our keys upstairs, if someone's gonna take them, then so be it, but they ain't going easy!!

Not good. We had problems with teenages last year in the holidays so i must look at CCTV stuff myself before the summer holidays this year.
Would be interested in knowing what CCTV you get as its a mind field out there of gear which i have no idea  what gives decent pictures and what does not.  :undecided:

I work at Maplin's and we had a 2 camera set-up in store abit back, cracking piece of kit.
Was down from £400 to £200 with 2 Sony CCD lens cameras, 250 or 320GB hard drive, networking and you could also get an app for your smartphone and view it that way. They soon sold quick!
A lot of the kits from places like Maplin are good buys, they may not be the best of the best, but in our store we aim to test every new product and some of them have some bloody good detail!
