are the mounts on a 2l 16v (9A (passat)) engine the same as the ones on a 1.8 8v (mk2 gti) engine?
i ask this because for my conversion i need to weld in new mounts, i only wish to do this once, but i have a 1.8 8v engine "spare" in my garage and i want to drop this into my mk1 just for a temporary measure to replace my puny 1.1 untill i finnish my 9A powerplant.
