RCD310 - RCD510
« on: 08 April 2011, 12:00 »
Is this a straight plug and play swap, or are any other parts/coding required?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

The RCD510 looks and fits so much better, functionality is better too.
I bought my RCD for around £300, sold my RCD310 for £150. Bargain.

The sound is the same.

The only mistake I made with my factory order was not getting the 510.

It's a 10 minute job, there is an excellent guide on here somewhere.
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.
GTI no. 4. Golf no. 5.  VW no. 7.
