Just did the handbrake cables on my mk2 and was driving up and down the road and feels as if the back brakes are sticking or like the handbrake is on? How can i fix it?

Are the calipers free or have they seized?

To be honest I dont really know they were fine but now when you put the foot down it feels like your being held back if that makes sense?

Makes sense...

The calipers may have seized on the carriers, do a search and you will find a number post covering this problem/issue

might be wrong but aren't you meant to pull the handbrake up and down a few times after doing this?

i would give it a few goes up and down on lever incase they just locked on for some reason see if this frees it.. maybe you have over adjusted the cables so the rears are always on ??
