i use to be a great lover for the old mk1's and 2's but since owner a mk4 i would not go back to old as a daily, its nice to get in a car with all the mod cons and not break down every 5 mins!! comfy ride, heating, power when needed is a win for me!

im looking at another mk1 aswell as my mk4 for the summers as they are great cars just not as a daily

So you wouldnt rate one as a daily driver?
I only have a short trip to work in the morning just have to go bout 6 miles to where i park the works lorrie!

You probably could use one everyday with if maintainng it very well (Wax oil etc) But when you get one..get it fixed up/look sweet. You really gonna wanna use a classic like that everyday?

Why not use it every day?
like u said keep it well looked after!
I dont see the point haveing a car and not drive it!

Yeah i know... you say that  but would you?I don't think I could having a mint old car like that to use on the way to work in Jan with all the salt on the roads!
