Cruise control retrofit

Can anybody confirm if this is the same method used for installing cruise control on the mk6?

Iv had a search on here but it seems everyone thats done it has the newer 2011 cars, im on a 59 plate!

Any help would be much appreciated and if it is as much effort as that looks, does anybody want to make a few beer tokens doing it for me?

Iv had my lot with fiddling about with the airbag!

Seems like a lot of work to me?? i thought it was just removing the wheel, replacing the stalk for a cruise one and then coding?

You won't need to run that wire in on a Mk6, this was only required on the early Mk5's

Thats good, i thought it would just be a case of wheel off and plug in.

Anyone know if a new slip ring is needed?

I would say The Doc is the best one to ask as I believe he's fitted them and programmed it with VCDS. He should comment when he comes around.

New Slip ring in not required.
