First a partridge, now a ...
« on: 13 March 2011, 11:19 »
... badger!

This time, however, a bit more damage was done. Looks like I need a new fog lamp, a grille or two, some of the wheel lining, some brackets and a load more.

I'm just trying to get a list of the parts of ETKA and I have a quick question for those in the know; what does the "Model" column mean and what model would a 2011 GTD be?!

And for those that are worried about the badger, after doing a forward roll for about 50 yards, it then scurried off in to a field. I tried to look for a few minutes, although slightly lost heart when I saw the front of the car!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :undecided:
It's a tad OTT what you did to the partridge. Needs must. And to the badger?  :embarassed:
So sorry this has happened.

I had to laugh at the title - I'd change it as it sounds a bit

You are clearly a wildlife magnet!Perhaps ETKA has a part nummber for bull horns or similar?!!?

I can't help you with the parts/ETKA but feel for you - hope you get it sorted soon

I hit a pheasant not too long ago in my ST, it obliterated the bumper and the cheeky little chappie was fine!

Took whole bumper off and had a good look. (Getting fast at this now!)

If I don't claim on insurance, I should be able to get away with the grilles and the fog lamp bracket. A bit or araldite on the fog lamp should fix that.

If I do decide to claim, then I need:
  • bumper
  • fog lamp
  • fog lamp holder
  • inner wing lining (front section)
  • engine tray
  • headlight bracket
  • other bits of trim
  • honeycombe grille
  • grille surround for fog lamp

Just need to find out costs for the bits I need to see if I'm under my excess!

Here's the ETKA printout: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8035571/forums/www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/badger.pdf.
