Churchill - grumble about lazy employees
« on: 11 March 2011, 20:53 »
Cut a long story short I haven't received my NCB letter from my last insurance company (Zurich Connect), Churchill sent me a letter to say they need proof or they'll put my insurance up over £400, I rang them up told them I'm still waiting for my NCB letter and asked if they could call Zurich Connect on my behalf (Zurich said they would speak to and give verbal confirmation to my new insurance company over the phone) I was told no they're not allowed to, company policy etc etc. So still waiting for the NCB letter, I get another letter from Churchill saying they've added the £418 premium as they've not received my NCB letter.

Just spoke to a nice young lady at Churchill, she took the policy number I had with ZC and said she'll call them. She just called me back, not even 10 minutes later to confirm verbal confirmation and to say she'll update their systems and have the admin team remove the additional £418 premium, back date the extra I've paid and pass on my concerns to her line manager about her lazy colleague.

Thank fook for that

Due to all the price increases from the ICE and snow and it being an insurance group 24 vehicle (new rating system, think it was 14 on the old rating system) with 3years No Claims, living in a B band insurance area and also taking out the extra break down assistance & premium hire car (like for like) it came to £670~ so without the NCB letter it would have been over £1100 !  without the extra break down assistance & premium hire car it would have been closer to £400 for the year, but getting those else where would have cost more.

That price was also found using ALL the comparison websites, MoneySuperMarket came up £400~ cheaper than any other comparison sites, it always comes up cheaper for me no matter what car I put in and declaring the non-fault accident.
