Is this the same for a vr though? ive got my coilies wound right down - sump inch n alf' of the floor but drive shafts dont catch.

Saying that though, ive never checked how much clearance i have

Depends what coilovers you have mate. They may not go as low as others. I don't recall ever hearing that the body of the mk3 was made different through the models so would imagine if you have a drive shaft it will catch on real lows. Subframes etc mount the same aswel!? Mines a 16v n drivers side caught. I wouldn't imagine it was all the time but when the shock compress it defo caught!!

If I've just talked nonsense I do appoligise i am no way a mk3 info guy lol

TBH i dont want to lay frame i just want it 150-160mm from standard and then the ability to whack it back up to get some ground clearance when encountering a speedbump and for general driving.

Its definatly more for practicality than looks. No good having 350bhp if you cant drive over the start line lol

Your not wrong lol. I've got my vr6 waiting and will have big plans for power with that.

It's the same reason I got air. Practicality 1st then looks 2nd. Got fed up with having to go different routes because of the ever growing speedbumps! Still looks do come with air so a chassis notch will be needed. Look forward to cin it done if you go through with it.

U need a US splitter then mate.

My vr spitter was like a plough aswel mate. What size rims are you running if 17s that will help.

The notch will happen regardless, but ive already started sourcing air ride parts.Ive got all fittings, valves and pipework just got to get the bags tank and pump.Wont be going digi because as cool as it is id rather throw that bit extra into the engine or getting the car sprayed again.

Thanks for your help mate :)

p.s feel free to share your ideas with the vr6.I have done silly amounts of research on parts and where to get them etc(performance not standard) so may be able to point you in the right direction should you need a particular part :)

Right so after having a bit of a nightmare with an overnight battery drain i did a parasitic battery drain check and found that the fan switch was drawing 10amps at idle!
A new Exide battery and a fan switch later and were all happy.

Today i had a bit of time to myself for a change so set about fitting the Flyeyes id bought for my headlights.....to my rear lights!
Thing is i really like the rear lights but ive always wished they were a tiny bit darker but i dont like tint spray.
Thought i would give it a whirl and it came out ok for me(dont do stickers or fabric)
I like the fact it is darker,im going to run it for a bit and if i decide to keep it im going to nip down to a window tint company and get them to fit some new to them perfectly.

Some phone pics(my car is minging sorry)

I also did my interior light.

While i was in there i fitted my genuine(but alas it was beige so i had to paint it) drivers side sunglasses holder that goes in place of the grab handle.

I also stripped both my front window switches and swapped out the green leds for red ones as i didnt have electric windows when i did the other stuff and had forgot about these.

Thats about it for now but i have a week to myself next week so there is more in the pipeline :)
