Looking ace bud! Whats the plan of attack from now then?
When's the lump likely to be ready to go in?

Just bought myself another Corrado in VR form yesterday actually! Unfortunately, its a bit of a dog!
Didn't check properly, but thought it was a Storm, but was just badged as such! 2 months older than the first Storm registration dates........
Bodywork and interior are terrible, needs a respray, and the interior has been hacked to death to fit a load of sh!t tweeters and components in the trim and rear cards! The only thing I'm really comfortable with are the mechanics, and thats the thing that doesn't need doing!  :rolleyes
Chains, guides and tensioners done 2k and 9 months ago. Oh well, it was pretty cheap, and will get it up to scratch eventually!
Classic Green Corrado VR6 Storm | Jetex Cat back | BMC CDA | VT mounts | Bilstein B12 | 288mm front brakes | Mk4 rear brakes | Goodridge braided hoses | BBS RX228s | Shortshifter | Lupo wipers | Uprated headlight loom | All red rears | Refreshed leather | Fresh paint |

Well my aim was to get it done for this years UD (as in,engine in,aired out etc) but after waiting for parts etc it wasnt happening so i made the decision to get the car out of hibernation and run it for this season with the current running gear whilst still building the vr6t.
Then come November it will be getting parked in a unit and every will be there ready to bolt in once all the smoothing has been done, then UD next year it will go to its 1st show.
Once the engine is in and running well and the car goes up and down freely i will be taking it to UCC for a full show spray job.

New project sounds fun Seany,pm me a link to your build thread or some pics dude :)

Sounds like a plan! Shame its gonna be a while before its in though. Why you going for another spray job!  It's not long been done, and you'll be scared to leave it alone or drive it anywhere with another one!

I've not started a thread on mine yet mate, I'll get one up in the coming couple of weeks in the Project section.

It is a shame dude but tbh ive spent so much time and effort on the engine making sure everything is perfect and rock solid that if i was to rush it just to get it in this season i dont think i would be doing it justice.Same reason i dont want to take it to any shows till its done.Just dont think its up to scratch yet.

The reason i want another spray job is purely for the reason when the engine and air is on it will be 3 years old and will be showing its age,im also going to change the rear end up a bit and might pull the arches slightly at the same time, all jobs requiring paint.Ive been quoted for a full blown show job and its not cheap but ive decided as it is the only thing on the car i havnt/won't do myself i think it will be worth it.

Looking forward to some pics of your car,if your on facebook chuck me some pics dude.I believe a rado will be my next car
