mk2 golf 8v blitz chip
« on: 05 March 2011, 13:26 »
I just installed a blitz chip i bought off ebay and now my car seems sluggish and flat under acceleration. Is there anything else i need to do other than change the chip?

Thanks

Remap is better, if it is not genuine you may cause damage.

causeing damage is unlikely but the only real way to know what you bought is this

all the VW's have gone bar 1.

it's an eeprom  reader/burner

lets you download the data off the eeprom and save it,  then you can load it into a program like IDA and look at it / piss about with it. and burn it back to an eeprom.   or just download / share / copy known good files and chips  and make your own copys
all the VW's have gone bar 1.
