Yeah, it's running, or rather it started up and idled badly for about 10seconds :laugh: Its not got radiator in it yet so didn't want to run it for long. Need to bleed the brakes and get last few bits hooked up then see if it'll run properly, need to find the time is all..

very nice sir :cool:

Cheers Mr Blue

A, seemingly monthly, update :tongue:

Brakes are giving me trouble, can't get a pedal, just goes to the floor :(

Decided to make the brackets for the intercooler;

It fits nicely on the cross-member on the n/s;

Had to make a bracket for the o/s;

Bracket to attach the intercooler to the radiator, just need to weld the two pieces together;

More same time next month :laugh:

Cheers mate :) Yeah got a bit of enthusiasm back for it now, hoping to put it on the road on April 1st (when tax runs out on my current daily mk3) and get it to Elsecar on the 9th.

Bit of an update, took Friday off work and got a bit done;

First up, set about getting the cam out;

Piper 285 in (obviously you can see the difference :laugh: )

Modified the slam panel to fit around the intercooler;

Bracket welded, painted and fitted;

Had to move the radiator over so no longer lines up with the slam panel;

Sorted;

Refurbed the starter motor;

Random shots;

Also fitted the bumper, then turned the key :D

.............

Nothing :( not even a splutter, so gave up for the day.

Ultimate Dubs spured me on a bit, stripped the loom back and found a slight issue...

Fired up first turn of the key after sorting that :D

Only problem now is that I have an unwrapped loom draped over my engine :rolleyes: will get that sorted and see how it drives, surprisingly idled rather nicely this evening :)

Unfortunately going to be a bit longer ... 1 step forwards, 2 steps back;

Picking up new water pump and a few bits tomorrow then hopefully crack on and get it out for a run next week :)
