just had cambelt done and having problems

hey guys
just had the cambelt , water pump and tensioner done today,
when i picked the car up we had a rite game starting it but the machanic said it was flooded
i took it home and went in the house, when i tried starting it again still the same problem starting it,
i took it back to the garage and the machanic put a code reader on it to see whats wrong because a light was showing on the dash too
the code reader said faulty camshaft sensor
which i have to pay for £52
what are your guys thoughts and is this really what the fault is
i read that if the timing is out it can throw a sensor fault on some code readers???

Seems strabge it has failed after they have fitted the cam belt unless they have assemblied something wrong.

yeah i have never had a problem starting my car
as soon as i turn the key it starts and now it wont
i have to keep trying and eventualy it does but i carnt go out in it because if i carnt get it running again id be fuxt
going to get a new cam sensor tomorrow and if it dont fix it then the timing or something must be wrong,
it was perfect before it went to the garage

In that case take it and get them to sort it and do not pay anymore money.

found out what was wrong
when he pushed the connector back into the cam sensor he bent one of the pins and rammed it in so the middle pin wasnt connected,
thats one place i will never take my car again
i have small scratches all over my wing because of him, is there anyway i could get these out?

First thing I'd do is pay him a visit, show him the damage (pin and wing scratches) and see if he has the good will of repairing the damage. However the chances of that happening are slim, but always worth a try.
