i remember the trailer i looked like a good film, but i forgot to see it, will put it on my to watch list.

i had a thought was is you tickover at?. as mine sometime sticks at 1800 and overhaets as the fan cannot cool the engine sufficeintly at high tickovers, (i turn the interior heater on full and this keeeps it down).

Coolant temp can reach over 100, thats why its not just water in the system, the coolant actually raises the boiling point.

so does pressure, if you get the pressure high enough then 130c water is possible.
gas is gas due to the intermolecular forces and energy given to the system and energy opposing the system, conversely in a low enough partial vacumn you could reduce the boiling point of water aswell.
when i read this i was thinking of silent running with the sad ending, never seen cool running.

But indeed most car cooling systems do run at pressure enabling the coolant (Water or Anti freeze) to get hotter than boiling point.? your header tank pressure cap has a release pressure whereby if the pressure rises too much (eg say your head gasket blows) then the pressure can escape through the cap to stop your coolant hoses exploding. Did I say pressure enough?

Ive seen Cool Runnings.? But my Valver goes faster than any Bobsleigh, and I would hazard a guess its more comfortable even though ive never been in a bobsleigh.

But to try and answer your question, If your temp guage doesn't read too hot, your cooling fan cuts in and out correctly (should come on mainly at Idle), your interior heater is fine then I would say this is OK, although 130 degrees does sound a little high.? I would have expected around 110.
