Turbo it, Map it, learn to drive it. Then add LSD and try to get a standalone that can support launch control if you feel it necessary.

The launch control will be the lest of your problems.

I totally agree, Im sure mine kicks in too early / too easily as it's near on impossible to spin the front wheels on my valver plus the fact it occasionally makes that shuddery kinda feeling and noise that ABS does which then obviously like you say slows the bloody thing down.

That's the EDL. Which only works up to 25mph. It sounds like the gearbox is broken when it kicks in. If you can't get the wheels to spin, there must be something wrong.

I heard it kicking in when it snowed and it was working overtime but thankfully I never got stuck so I hope it was contributing! I do find the fronts spin up easily though but maybe tyres/surface conditions play a part in the EDL function?

I remembered Racelogic fitted to a car so typed it in:

Then found a Youtube vid on the same google page :)

That video is not really fair, TC one was working on TC, the other rado was full throttle, that would spin in the dry just as much.

I'm sure that a good clutch control and decent tyres will be just as good as a TC system.

True. My car spins up very easy and is no match for the factory EDL but it's how you drive that controls spin. I'm thinking of investing in an LSD but it's not essential at the moment.

Am I the only one that likes wobbling the steering wheel under full throttle to get the wheels spinning up for some planned understeer?

Oh god what though? Ive already changed both the front ABS sensors, what else might be contributing to it?

A-Class Mercs have the same. Horrible. Slows the car down off the line and majes the car worse in snow.

Maybe if you have two step throttle control.
Ordinarliy, it just works...and does not too bad a job.

Any powerful car with wide tyres on is crap in snow...fit snow tyres and the EDL does't affect it.
