got pulled in the mk3 last night to find out the officer who pulled me pulled the last owner for defected tyres and few bulbs out which he was given a probationar after he checked the car over he said everything was ok all was fixed but i have to re m.o.t the car to get the probationar removed so its booked in thursday, he also said when he pulled the last owner it was shocking the state it was in  and couldnt beleive how clean i had got, so hopefully get all this sorted thursday dont understand why it has to have a full m.o.t again when theres 3mths left plus all the bits were fixed inc new tyres all round

tell me about it mate, he checked the car and said everything was ok now and let me drive off so surely he could of lifted the pro thing off

Not sure what the rules are but it doesn't sound fair to me, I'd go to my local bobby shop and contest it instead of just p155ing 45 notes away.

he gave me his contact details as i have to take the m.o.t certificate to him after, so may just phone the station and ask to speak to him and see what he says

The copper was a Honda owner

phoned the police station last nite to find out what the defects where when the last owner got pulled and had a probitionar put on it.........................to get a reply 1 defected tyre  i asked why i had to fork out £40 when he clearly had seen that all 4 tyres had been replaced he said there was nothing he could do apart from hes put on the system the defect has been fixed but by law i have to m.o.t it again.

a know the way it all sounded to me id of thought things like exhaust was hanging off etc etc but 1 defected tyre
