Your car would need to be able to pass a UK MOT to be able to be registered here. That means the headlights would have to dip in the correct direction and other such UK specific niceties.
Have a look on the DVLA website for current regulations and how to go about registering a car here, it shouldn't be too much of a problem spec wise apart from the headlights. Don't mention the superchipping though!!
Servicing wouldn't be a problem as once VW have your chassis number they will be able to order in parts accordingly. It's only the failure of specific LHD parts that will cause any delays. The car would have to be registered with VW UK and you may have to argue about warranties and the like, I think they will only honour the first 2 years. After that you can whizz off to find a cheaper and more reliable independant specialist.
