golf gti gauges

hi there all im new to this site as just buying a mk 3 gti.i have a problem with it and would like some help.all my gauges have stopped working the battery,oil pressure and indicator warning lights all still work but speedo,rev counter,fuel and temp dont nor dose the mile ometer.they have been repaired and worked fine for a while but then stopped i sent them back to where they were repaired but they say there fine but they are doing the same as before.ive got my hands on another cluster and plugged it in and now the milage is displayed but no gauges work.any ideas please.

I would suspect a faulty cluster however as you have tried one, you must have a wiring problem or poor earth

Nope but you will need the milleage correcting

check your jumper blocks above the fusebox, one of them has the ign live feed for the dash. it runs to E/2, and ther eis another feed from D/8. I think its the black one, but you'll have to double check.
