IIRC the dynaudio speakers are driven active so you will need 8 amp channels for them or custom passives making. The midbass door grills are the same. The sail panel there are two different grill types. The older one with the red line under dynaudio and the all crome labeled one. The midbass units are rivetted to the door.

I need a bit of clarification.
I am under the impression that the Dynaudio amplifier has 4 x 75W RMS channels. If this is the case, then how can all 8 Dynaudio speakers be run actively? This would require 8 channels in the Dynaudio amp which from what I have so far read, it does not have. Unless, the front 4 speakers are run by the 4 amp channels of the Dynaudio amp and the 4 rear speakers by the 4 amp channels of the headunit.

In that case there not. I was going on the passat i had tobits and what i was told about the eos. I expected the golf to be the same but it does not say much on the dynaudio site about the golf. But from past experience of dynaudio system including many in volvos i thought it would be active. Get someone to check if theres a passive available for them on ETKA.

Thanks Snoops.
(Keeping the post count down  )

Looking on Elsawin the amp is wired with 4 front speakers and 4 rear speakers so I presume it has 8 channels???

It can still have 4 channels and run 8 speakers, 2 channels for the front 4 and 2 channels for the rear 4, just like the head unit.

If it has 8 channels, which I doubt, at 75W RMS each, it would be the cheapest 8 channel amp in the world!

The passat iirc had split powers. So something like 20W to tweeters, 40W to mids, 110W to midbass Rears were iirc 110W and 20W.

Is that:
Front: 2x10=20W, 2x20=40W, 2x55=110W?
Rear: 2x55=110W, 2x10=20W?

Rear: 2x20W to tweeters, 2x110W to midbass.

Here is whats said about the scirocco.

Quote
Striking new styling, dynamic and technologically advanced" - that's the new Scirocco, according to Volkswagen. With an advanced high-end soundsystem, Dynaudio adds striking sound, too.

A 300 watts digital amplifier and 8 Dynaudio loudspeakers, combined with the car's compact interior space, deliver an intense musical experience. Two soft dome tweeters and two midrange/bass drivers in the front doors are integrated at their ideal acoustic position, resulting in an impressive soundstage reproduction.
Two extra soft dome tweeters and two extra midrange/bass loudspeakers behind the front seats provide a perfect all-round experience while also ensuring the same powerful sound for the two rear seats. Thanks to the active loudspeaker concept, featuring single amplifier modules for each loudspeaker, the Dynaudio Soundsystem performs at its best even with dynamic recordings and at high levels.

In the Scirocco the Dynaudio Soundsystem is available in combination with the RCD 510, including a 6 CD autochanger, SD card reader and a multicolour TFT touchscreen. The ultimate entertainment center is the RNS 510 with added navigation system, widescreen TFT touchscreen, 30 GB harddrive and DVD player. With this system even Open-Air live concerts or other music on DVD can be experienced with Dynaudio sound quality.

So, at a guess, in the Golf/'rocco, it's probably 4x55W for the bass-mid units and 4x20W for the treble units.

Makes sence when i rethink as they will use chip amps on treble to save space.

I would guess 4x15W tweeters, 4x60W midbass or less still on tweeters.

Was close enough.
This makes everything clear at last.
Thanks.

So I probably can run all my mid-bass drivers from the Kenwood and use the head unit to run the tweeters. Just a thought.
