fuel pump help
« on: 04 February 2011, 18:35 »
for the last few weeks my car has been acting like a carb thats black spotting, today it finally gave in, it spluttered really bad as if it was running out of petrol and then it cut out n just wouldnt start again.

Its a MK3 K reg 1.8 cl (single point injection)

I have had a few pipes off the carb looking thing and had someone turn the car over and no fuel came out of any of the pipes.

My first thoughts was its defo the fuel pump but 1 place i phoned said it was either my coil or distributor and not the fuel pump.

Please could someone help me out. would i be right thinking its the pump or would there be more to it.

Thanks

If you have no fuel coming out you have a pump or relay problem.
