turbo troubles...
« on: 27 February 2005, 23:47 »
I came onto the A470 with my foot on the floor in 2nd watching the speedo fly up, then shifted at 7000rpm and planted 3rd but it refused to go. like jaulting and then 4psi of boost. I thought the ecu had gone into 'limp mode' or maybe I just put a dodgy tank of petrol in as I'd just filled up  :undecided:

turned out I'd blown a boost hose off.

Poor thing. she was coughing and spluttering all over the place. I barely made it home and even now it's parked very dodgeyly in my space as I can't move it until I fix that in the morning.

Time for 2 samco clips and a nice alloy or carbon joiner me thinks

at first I through it'd just gone into limp mode. I had a feeling it would one day as I'm running it different to the standard setup. and then I wondered if that fuel was dogey or something.

I knew something wasn't right when I stopped at the lights going onto northen avenue and it wasn't idling right.

I haven't go round to fixing it yet. I think the jublilee has had it. not gripping anymore so it just pops off

na, I knew something had popped off. I did wonder if a vacume hose had come off and letting the pressure off. with the window down you could hear the turbo spinning just the car wasn't going anywhere lol
