Ebc green stuff Vs Black diamond

so, simple really Ebc green stuff Vs Black diamond pads? need to renew my brakes and thought about a softer compound. also 280 or 288mm on a 96 8v golf?

96 should be 288, EBC I think would be the better choice.

check your calipers, 288 on the left, 280 on the right:

I went for green stuff's, mainly on account of them being a low dust formula..well lets say a bit less dust anyway,  moderate quality.. overall i'd probably go for them again.

Ferodo ds2500 are an excellent choice. I've heard lots of bad things about the greenstuff pads.

I've heard a lot of good things though. Hmmm....

I was looking at what I'd need for my brakes the other day, and as I have braided hoses, drilled/vented discs, and some pic chunky red calipers, I don't know what the hell I'm doing.  :grin:

My last 96 8v had 280mm discs but yeah i know some have the larger ones fitted. I guess it comes down to when the car was registered really.

The Green Stuff pads seemed to fine on my mk2 16v...

where do you reckon is the best place to pick them up from really, need them in a hurry lol ? silly question i know but i cant stand using venom any more (as usefull as a cock flavoured lolli pop)
