ok this points to wire fault with the level sensor, dash problem, or the dash sensor is bust. unplug the dash temp wire and try it, if light still comes on then its the dash or the wiring for the level sensor.
if its a pre-90, look above the fusebox for a 42 or 43 relay. pull this out and the low level warning system will be completely disabled
