Hi,

Every now and then I've been off in the Golf and it just feels choked, it looses all its 'ooomph!'

The same thing happened driving to work this morning and when I finally got to work I gave it the once over and it smelt alot hotter than usual?!

My first thought was fuel problems, clogged filter or something but I'm really not sure?

Any ideas ladies and gents?   :undecided:

UPDATED:

The problems have not got worse.  Drove back to Wiltshire from Luton last night and not only was he being intermittently sluggish, I got to Reading services and when I went to set off again he would turn over and fire but immediately die.  It seemed as though there was starvation of fuel.

When I got home I noticed a grinding sound that sounded like a nackered bearing around the belts/crank region.

Going to try and drop it off at a mechanic I know tonight but has anyone got any diagnosis they wish to share please?   :embarassed:
