At the end of the day mate all your limited to is the size of your wallet and imagination.

So the real question is then, how much do you want to spend on this project and do you really really want to do it to this car?

Spot on Archie. Wayne I appreciate what your saying mate but I will be removing the 8v lump for sure I'm just undecided as to what lump I'm goin to replace it with. I thought VR6 to start but now I'm thinking something different. Would love to see a V8 transplant but being honest don't think that will happen. Been inspired by dubsport twin engine ' UFO' wanna do something different!

I wasn't having a dig, just curious to get an idea of how far you are willing to go and how much.... V8 would be epic but you would need to do a RWD conversion to make it fit..... Hmm a V8 RWD mk3..…

do it!

This might interest you then, it's a mk2 Rallye V8 twin turbo! But it's good enough to give you an idea of what the crack would be... The best bit is its all vag pretty much.. The engine is a V8 from an Audi A6.

One thingto remember is that major changes to the shell will result in issues with the DVLA and getting the car back on the road.

Rules have changed and it is much harder now.
