For less (much less) than a carbon one you can buy an OEM one that WILL last an eternity whether you scrape it, hit it, bend it, twist it, etc etc.

The one and only exception to the chavvy carbon rule:

Even though... That would still look better without the carbon.

Sounds like a game of bop it extreme.

more to the point a genuine 1 has already been smashed on my car and the carbon splitter was going to go on a spare bumper for shows and the like, i was really more interested in the boot lip but obviously no1 knows about 1 chavy?? all depends on how much power you have under the bonnet in my opinion if it looks chavy or not

I'm all for a bit of each-to-their-own and the idea of doing something a bit different but really can't see carbon fibre being a good material for an air dam. As I see it you would have two options, neither of them good and both expensive. One would be a fairly light weight dam that would be fairly costly and probably shatter if it hit anything. The other would be to spend really serious money and get a proper high quality structurally strong dam made. This might survive hitting something but it still wouldn't bend and if it won't, something else will and it might not bend back so willingly.

What kind of boot lip do you have in mind? The normal Vento spoiler or an M3 style little stub lip? If it's the latter I don't think they were ever produced for the Vento, largely because the boot lid is already shaped to have a slight lip anyway.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

If you managed to smash a genuine one, you're doing something wrong :D
