4ltrs of castrol gtx £10

popped in Asda today to get a few bits and got 4ltrs of castrol gtx 10w-40 and 4ltrs of 15w-40 for £10 each, bargain :cool: normal price is £20 i think. get in there guys. :wink:

hi mate i wanted to no what oil to use for my gttdi 110/115 with 140k? so then i can get my self down to asda and no which oil to get lol

look in your manual it will tell you in there;) 15w 40 should be fine in deisels but definatly check your manual because the gttdi's might need a more specific oil.

You want a 5w/30 in the TDI, otherwise the oil is too thick for the turbo  :smiley:

PD engines need an oil that is approved for use in them.

due to the forces deing transmited in the valve gear the oil must have a very very high file strenth and be resitant to shear forces. 

put unsutable oil in and the cams and tappets will chew each other to bits
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

hence why i said check the manual first, mines not a pd engine so not too fussy on specific oil, but yes pd engines have to heve the specific grade stated by Khare.

range of oils are used in them there PD enignes,    5/30  through to 0/40 w    our TDI's are both running 0/40w   
all the VW's have gone bar 1.
