I tried really hard to get to the bottom of this and gave up.  I've never heard anything like it before as I thought being a personal car it would require it's own insurance especially since its being modified, but I was told I was wrong and let it go in the end.

It is a grey area but trade insurance will only cover cars you don't own, if it is your own car yes it will need it is own policy, that is how I understood it when I looked into it for a friend a year or so ago.

This, unless the car is some sort of a promotional vehicle for the business.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Well my works insurance, which I am on, has just been renewed.

Any cars they own for personal/business use HAVE to be declared, personal vehicles although on the policy need their own set up.

They DON'T LIKE modified vehicles and although some do allow them, they NEED to be informed.

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.
