It seems to be very hit and miss with the G max kits, I was quite worried after Id read reviews on the internet and before Id fitted em, seems good so far though.

Did you find bilstein alot better?

I ended up running standard springs with Bilstein B4 dampers so she's not lowered but now it's all run in I reckon she's settled to quite a nice stance. As for the ride/handling balance, I'm happy with it for an everyday road car. It's just a bit stiffer and sharper than standard without being harsh.

On the subject of insurance, see what Footman James have to say. My 'Valver is currently on a classic policy with them. They also look after my Mini Thou' and seem relatively unfazed by the concept of it being modified.
