This is a big question why do the mk6 boys not venture out of the mk6 section?

Now this is a very interesting question and has a very simple answer as far as I am concerned.

The cars and members in the other sections are of no real interest to me.

The guys and gals in this section provide me with all the information and support I need. They are extremely knowledgeable, are not overtly arrogant and don't have an axe to grind. I feel safe in the knowledge that they have my best interests at heart. They are also very kind and great fun.

I like reading the other sections but I very rarely if ever contribute to them. In most cases I know very little about the topic (older Mks) but also because a lot of topics/posts on this site usually end up way off topic in an argument.

Being a relative newbie to the forum, I tend to only read the MK6 pages as they have info which is relavant to the car I drive. A lot of the guys on these forum pages appear to have owned earlier models, so is makes sense that you would follow the relevant forum section, whilst also be interested in visiting the later edition forums.     

I don't think us MK6'ers are being elitist in any way . If a MK6 topics thread's back to issues pick up on the MK5, then I would follow that thread back and read it.

It seems pretty much common sense to me, then perhaps that's what makes me a MK6 owner!
