Anyone help.Fuse 14 blowing
« on: 23 December 2010, 10:26 »
Hoping someone can help.My girlfriends 03 plate gt tdi keeps blowing fuse 14. If i replace it the interior lights come back but if you try to then lock the car using the key it blows(well i assume its that as that's all i do after shutting the door). Also the central locking has stopped working off the fob and key.Does anyone know if there's something simple i'm missing. Thanks

Make sure the metal part on the back of the unit is not touching the body.

The boot light isn't even connected. The connector thats there spare won't even fit onto the boot light as if it's wrong. I took the light out and tried again but as soon as i turn the key in the lock it blows . Anymore ideas??

Silly question but you are replacing it with a 10amp and not something lower?  :undecided:

Sounds like you've got a short somewhere  :undecided:
