Hi guys new on this forum was recomended by a friend who is nown as vw volswagger.
I hope you guys could help me please, recently my altornater had gone and the car had been parked in my garden for a few weeks, i finaly got round to changing the alternator but now that the car is back on the road each time i go just over 4000revs in 2nd and put it in 3rd gear it starts juddring it never has done this to me before ever. I dont suppose its to do with the alternater being gone on the car etc..
You guys wont no what the problem is would you? Had a new turbo put in several months ago.

Best bet is to get it plugged in mate and see what codes are up, any lights on the dash? Could be MAF meter related.

hi i got it plugged in and it showed some codes wich were not that concerning, although it did show something like not enough battery power going to few components etc... dont suppose thats got somat to do with it?

Might sound stupid but are you sure you got the correct alternator?
If it isnt the right one it might not put out enough power, that could throw up a few issues (mainly dimm lights aswell)

Other than that im not sure sorry.

Ive worked with a few different cars before, can you clean vw mafs our with anything like carb cleaner or will that just kill them off fully  :grin:

I suppose but maybe identifying the problem first, on my old car you could just unplug the maf and if it didnt change the sh!te running quality that was you issues  :undecided:

Sometimes that would work but in my case it didn't happen that way.  Only by logging the values real time did I find out my MAF was failing  :nerd:

A bit pricey aswell im guessing! Mafs can throw up some funny stuff but i bet you they run perfectly when your not in a hurry.
1.0l corsa B eat mafs for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
