£70 for the diamond cut and relaquer? That seems cheap...did you dig out the thread by RedRobin about his Monza2s? I'll def have another word and to be fair the guys at te dealership are the ones ive used since 1994! Sure they won't give me too much grief

Yeah I asked the refurb guy how much it would cost if i'd have had to pay.

Wheel had old lacquer, paint and primer removed.

New white primer applied, then grey inserts, then smoked paint, diamond cut and 4 coats of laquer.

This happened to me. I went to Protyre for two PS3's and they put almost identical scuffs in the face of the alloys. Either grit on the machine or they put them face down on the bench to take the balance weights off. Jokers. They denied it of course, and eventually the branch manager ended up calling me a c&nt and walking off. Won't be going back.....

No good at all jay, they paying to fix? or have you got to take it on the chin?

Update:

Anyway after settling down after the new year, I have since washed the alloy, not happy with the refurb, bits in the paint, a hair and grit stuck in from an apparently dry wheel.

Spoken to the tyre place, who reluctantly sent me to another refurb place, they have an account with lepsons. They took a look said they couldnt polish the bits out, so its off to lepsons as we speak. (2 week turnaround)

Tyre place footing the bill for another refurb, fingers crossed its done right and im happy with it. All this for some chuffin new tyres as the snow forced me to change them early, ironic as the car is still pants with new tyres on.

Final Update:

Right heres the pictures from the 1st refurb attempt (mobile van). He matched the colour very well, unfortuantly he didnt take 100% care in his work and sent me away with a semi-dry wheel. Resulting in grit dry in the wheel finish:

I complained in the new year to the tyre fitter, in which he sent me to another wheel refurb place. They didnt do diamond cut but had an account with lepsons and pristine. I asked for lepsons to do the work. 2 ish weeks later and its back. Very good work by lepsons:

After 2 months of something that should never of happened, im happy again, would use lepsons again, but not the tyre fitter.

This concludes the thread at least with a happy ending
