Training to be a teacher so only on a half timetable, meant to be doing lesson plans in my free's but on a friday afternoon? I think not!  :grin:

Better to remove the manifold to paint it.

I wouldn't. It's like changing all the wiring of a light when all that's needed is changing the bulb.

Just a small brush and a steady hand.

it's gonna need degreasing and cleaning first. you have to take it off otherwise you're gonna paint your whole engine bay.

To do the job to a good standard it is better to remove it.
