New Golf Mk7 2012
« on: 19 November 2010, 16:54 »
This article on the German Auto Bild website at the link below might be of interest to you all.

Golf VII is on photo pages 78 to 81. The article as a whole goes through 81 photos of new German cars over the next 2 or 3 years but I was only interested in the last 4 VW ones. The Golf looks nice enough and the Cabrio looks nicer than the rendering we saw in a thread on here last week. 2012 in Germany might suggest late 2012 here or even early 2013. It mentions the next R having a 300 bhp twin turbo and it also shows in photo 81 a Golf Coupe which I thought was pretty smart.

Of course it could all be the usual media flannel but see what you think.

Nice one Andy, I've been meaning to look the new Golf up but keep forgetting !

I like it !!
Not sure about the Golf con-vee though. For me, the mk1 golf is the only one it worked for and it should be left there. If it is a hit, it has a lot to live up to !!

If it's true then the new GTI will be here mid 2013.

I think I'm going to keep mine for a long time as it's just the perfect car for me at the moment.

But then again,  in a few years time.....
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.
GTI no. 4. Golf no. 5.  VW no. 7.

I'm with you, probably keep my mk6 GTi for a few years, probably until the mk8 GTi is available.
No deseasel for me !!

Thanks for posting, I'd only seen the powder blue images in Autocar and they left me cold. I really like the styling cues and the car from the front in those shots.

With VWs cost cutting on engineering finishing and painting but concentrating on quality of interiors only im not changing to a mk7 or 8.
