Is there a way of uprating the looms and keeping dim dip?

I know everyone says bin it, but I like it for it's retroness.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

did you fit a fog light relay? if not, this is why the voltage is low. see the fusebox faq for location, it needs to be a #53 relay like for dual  horns, windows etc.

also, even when fully powered up they wont give out much light especially over main beams. they're designed to light up the road underneath the fog, not provide a shat load of extra light. if you want extra light at night use the main beams, thats what they are for.

I know they ay gunna give me loads of light, :laugh: I just thinks they look smart when they on  :cool:
I just didnt like the way they took brightness out of main beam,
I will try that fog light relay the weekend mate cheers,,

also your old mk2 fog housings by now will probably have lost the chrome plating, the mk2 uses plastic housings too which arnt the best. MK3 fog housings are made of metal and swap straight onto mk2 lenses :)

you can even strip them right down to swap over a damaged adjuster part, mine has MK2 lenses, MK2 adjuster housing and MK3 rear housing (I bought mk3 fogs uber cheap on ebay as all the adjusting bits snapped and glass cracked)
