Flat until 5500rpm

My gti 16v feel flat until 5500rpm then seems 2get a power boost, is this normal?? Seems to be since i drilled my airbox as shown on here or is that just me thinkin that lol

Mine just feels slow everywhere, lol.

Can't see it being anything to do with the airbox mod... if anything it should let more air in which would help at high RPM..?*

*Statement based on nothing other than hazy 9am thinking.

Check/clear throtel boddy seems to help everyone else with this. Could also check Spark Plugs for crud of them

Should have bought an 8v then, it's all about useable torque

My 16 valve is good 2000 all the way to redline. (Doesn't happen a lot) mine picks up even more at about 5

Yeh mine only really picks up at about 3500rpm. If you're not used to driving cars you have to rev the tits off to get anywhere (VW valvers) they do seem a bit slow.
