http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOTOS-NEW-3-in-1-50AMP-PLASMA-CUTTER-200-TIG-ARC-WELDER-/270654265526?pt=BI_Welders&hash=item3f044058b6

thats the thing i was going to go for,  but decided against it as chouldn't find any reviews that didn't look to biased as it cannot be as good as they were claiming for that money.  so found an older 2nd hand plasma cutter not botherd about portablity so should do the trick for me.

so anyone know what's a good TIG set to go for,  there any meany sets about for mot a lot of cash but am thinking thy'll be like cheep migs and sh!t.  it'll just be for use on own projects so even tho i would like to spend £1000's i can't justfy it as it's not full on workshop use just pissing around doing odd manifold and tank for the moment.

i bought a littel plazma cutter, calls itself a  nertazip it's quite an old thing going on the looks of it appears to have been made in 1993 and it's heavy but only 23amp but it seems optimal on thin steel, have use of a 60A now as well but one the stuff that the littel one will cut it seems to work better than the bigger machene.

i've come to conclusion that with the TIG  i'm going to be spending a few grand, went to have a look at some in a local welding supplys company.  the only machenes i liked were £1500+

xome to the conclusion i need 250+ Amps, Footpedal and i want a watercooled torch. would be nice if it was a decent multimode inverter setup then i chould get a wire feeder for it as well and use it as MIG if i feel like it.  and i want it singel phase ( i know its going to be an expensive ask ) what really winds me up is i have a foooking good tig set but i can't use it in the workshop as 3 phase isn't economicaly avalible and Tigs really don't like phase converters or genorators learnt that the hardway as had to buy and replace several of the thiristors in the inveter after trying that
