I have the baby 8V and it drinks fuel like its going outta fashion, my hubbys Scooby is more fuel efficient  and i was quite disapointed in the lack of power.

disconnect the lambda probe plug, if that helps you need a new one. mk3 8v is always gonna feel slow compared to a scooby
they arnt that quick as only 115bhp in a heavy car. gearing isnt as sporty as a mk2 either. they arnt THAT slow though, all relative really

Anything is quicker than an 8v!

Try a good 16v!
Yes a Vr6 will be a lot quicker. As for a Corrado - Yes.

Hey guys, I think your all right! The coolant temperature gauge on my clocks stopped workin the other day, obviously a sensor has gone somewer in the coolant system!

Apparently there's more then 1 sensor though... Could someone please tell me where they all ate so I can replace them all!!

like i say, its the 4 pin one in the front coolant flange on the head ;)

follow the top radiator hose to the head, plastic bit is the flange. sensor is in the top, held in with a clip. wait till engien is stone cold before you swap it, and remove header tank cap and refit to release any residual pressure.  it should have an oring on the bottom, so make sure you swap this over from the old sensor, or if you get a new oring make sure you remove the old one if it got stuck in the flange :)
