The 020 rod shift is "made of cheese"

Used a rod change 4+e on my 200bhp G60 conversion no probs and will be doing so again soon

Is that because the old one blew up

I'm not speaking from personal experience, just quoting the default replies on ABF swap's, DH being the author of the "cheese" one.

 no it didn't blow up it's just all being transferred into another car due to terminal rot in the old one.

Yeah I know it's a default reply, just thought I'd offer the opinion that they can last ... how long I will soon find out

020s are a bit pot luck, you see em blow up with far less power put thru and the odd one takes loads of power and holds up fine. g60s do liek to munch thru 020s but as i say it comes down to how you drive em as well.  know a chap with a g60 mk1 and hes forever goin thru them. touch wood mine has been going strong for the last 5 years, but it was a very low milaer 16v box from a town car so in great condition to start with.

if you plan to drive it round tracks on a regular basis or are danny_p then dont use an 020 box
