Just wait till you find the sweets down the seats that they tried and didn't like and then you'll find footprints on the back of your seats

I know what you mean, it took me ages to get the remains of sweets out of the door pockets and seats.

Something your not telling us Buddy ??   Didn't think you had kids (yet)

I don't, however the previous owner had 3.

my 6 yr old likes to lick her fingers and wipe them all over the inside of the window after ive just cleaned the car (including the windows)

and only last week i noticed that within the dirt on my bonnet, the local kids had used my bonnet as entertainment as they drew images with their fingers into the dirt...

The little B@5t@rd5! Have they scratched it?

My girlfriend thinks im unrealistic when i tell her that when we have kids, my car will be tucked up in a garage for me to enjoy and keep clean, and i will be a £500 estate heap of junk for the kids! She thinks its unfair!

Theres no way i can deal with cleaning up baby sick and milk and sticky sweets and trampled biscuits every day! I think thats unfair!

easily solved, don't give them sweets and biscuits to make a mess with.  Baby sick remains inside the baby carrier by the way.

my bonnet isnt scratched, although it needs respraying anyway from the motorway chips, and im soon to be putting on a badgeless grille, so the recess needs putting on

i have 10 rules in my car, and they apply to everyone, 1, no food, 2, no drink, and that means consuming, lol, i dont allow toys either, because theyll only get left in there, for me to tidy up when it comes to cleaning the car, and ive told my 6 six yr old, any toys i have to pick up or tidy up, go straight in the bin, lol, im a strict stepdad dont you think?!

wow... thats all very strict

i can't really apply rules in the car to the little one... its not my place to

however... there is no point in worry about it... if the mrs wants to drive about in a mobile skip that is up to her... she is as bad with sweets etc as the little one...

i just reap the rewards with a quick interior valet every now and then

As much as I moan about the kids mess in the car you just can't ban everything in the car especially on longer journeys as they then start to bicker and fight and do my head in. It's easier to let them do their thing and clean it up later. I am lucky that my girls are aware how miffed I get to see the mess and they nowadays take more care in the car and clean up their own mess. Only got to teach the missus now
